Will insurance cover a PET/CT scan?
Private insurance companies and Medicare generally cover PET/CT scans for cancer. PET Imaging is a Medicare provider and attempts to contract with all major insurance companies. PET Imaging will verify your insurance coverage and pre-authorize or pre-certify your scan if needed.
What payment is required?
Patients may be required to pay a co-payment or deductible. A PET Imaging team member will contact you prior to your appointment to discuss any financial responsibility.
